Deal of The Week: Bloom Skirt

by cheapchica11 on August 6, 2010

I actually saw this skirt over a month ago at my F21 in the Cherry Hill Mall but they were sold out.   There was one left on the mannequin but it had a hold tag on it for someone and I was devastated.

BTW, did you know you can hold items at Forever 21 if you see something on the mannequin that you like? Just ask the salesperson to put your name and number on it and they’ll call you when they switch out the clothes–but act fast! They usually merchandise w/the best stuff and it goes quickly!

Anyway, I love all the detail on this skirt–it makes it look so expensive but it’s only $29.00! Not to mention, the color is that perfect neutral so you can play it up with earth tones or brights!  This is definitely one of those pieces to wear now and later!

Deal of the Week: Need a Tee?

by Molly on July 22, 2010

My number one obsession isn’t heels or bags right now…it’s T-shirts! In my opinion there is nothing like that perfect tee that makes you feel comfortable and still has that laid back sexy look.

The funny thing is- something as simple as a great t-shirt is not as easy to come by as most might think! One of my bigger problems is that when I find the perfect tee (James Perse I’m talking to you!) it’s usually close to $100 (if not more) simply because it’s got a designer label attached to it! :(

Well today is my (and now your) lucky day if you’ve been in search of the perfect inexpensive tee!! Target has the most comfortable V-neck tee I have found yet, and it’s only $8!!! There are only 3 colors available online, but for a more extensive color selection you can check in your local Target. Either way, my advice is to stock up.

Styling Tips: One of my favorite ways to wear this…pair any v-neck tee with a black bandage skirt and flat sandals for day–then dress it up with heels/sandals for a perfect night outfit!

Deal of The Week: Love 21 Dress

by cheapchica11 on July 9, 2010

Oh Forever 21, why do you toy with me so?? Just when I say to myself, I don’t need anymore clothes for the Summer or I’m going to take a break from shopping this week…they go and add new dresses to their site!  It’s infuriating…

Not becasue I can’t afford them…oh no, that’s the problem! Their dresses (and everything else for that matter) is so budget friendly that I end up buying everything…it’s like I can’t stop myself!

And this week, my purchases include this gorgeous one shoulder stunner for $19.80!  Click here to get it…and get it fast b/c I have a feeling this one has high-sellout potential!

BTW Jheri, if you’re reading-buy this dress! It’s almost an exact replica of my Elizabeth & James b-day dress you loved!

Deal of The Week: Dynasty Inspired Earings

by cheapchica11 on June 21, 2010

OMG, I almost died when I saw these! I’ve been looking for a pair of totally over the top emerald earings since I saw Angelina wear huge Neil Lane stunners at that awards show last year…

I wanted something that was a true statement and these are definitely it.  Who would have thought that only $19.99 could buy you so much glamour and bling?!? Get these at ModCloth while they’re still in stock!

And if you’re wondering what to wear them with…keep it simple!  I’m wearing them with white jeans, a silky blouse, and topping it off with a lightweight blazer and some snakeskin heels!  I love the 80’s!

Deal of The Week: Wrap Sandal

by Leah on June 18, 2010

Picture 1I love summer simply because I LOVE sandals! They are a dream, compared to my winter wardrobe of heels, heels, (and more uncomfortable) heels!

I found this stylish pair online at Wet Seal and for only $10 – I couldn’t resist! Plus, no more fiddling with buckles or ties– this pair has a hidden Velcro closure – cleverly disguised by the two cute buttons on the side…easy enough for a 3 year old to get on/off!

They also come in black, which is the color I ordered…but now that I’m writing about what a great deal these are, I’m considering going back to order the cognac ones too! At $10 a pop, I’d be crazy not to, right?!

I’m envisioning my favorite cutoffs, striped tee, and a floppy straw hat – and I’m out the door to meet the girls for a Sunday brunch!

Deal of The Week: Old Navy Neon Sandals

by cheapchica11 on June 4, 2010

Picture 3Most of our DOTW’s are pretty good (if I do say so myself), but this weeks is one of the best ones yet!  I always stop into my local Old Navy to check out the deals and this week it really paid off…

While they’re online specials are good, the discounts that you find in store are even better so it’s worth stopping in from time to time.  I just found these super cute neon flip flops for only $6!!  They come in 6 colors but IMO, the neon ones are the ones to buy!

I bought 4 pairs (how can you not for $24?!) to get me through the Summer and they’re just the pop of color I was looking for! On my days off I live in shorts/jorts and cute summer dresses and while I love my Haviannas, it’s nice to have a slightly dressier option like these to go w/my outfit!

Today I wore cutoffs, a white V-neck, a Black/White striped blazer (best buy of the summer from H&M!) and my neon green flip flops and I got stopped at least three times about the shoes…so go and get them before everyone else does!

Deal of The Week: Norma Kamali

by cheapchica11 on May 19, 2010

Picture 2

I’m from Texas, so shopping at Wal-Mart is regular thing for me…

Whether I need toothpaste, DVD’s or a new hair dryer their mega-centers are one of my favorite places to waste time and look for good deals!

Growing up, I wouldn’t exactly call Wal-Mart (even a Super one) a fashion destination, but now it’s a whole different story thanks to the Norma Kamali collection!

This adorable sheath dress is a greatexample–it’s not only a perfect blank slate for all of Spring/Summer’s bold accessories but it’s also only $20!

This is a universally flattering shape that would look as good on someone in their 20’s as it would on someone in their 60’s so get it while it’s available!

Deal of the Week: Spring Blazer

by cheapchica11 on April 22, 2010

Picture 3Ahhhh….blazers!   I can’t get enough of them!  If you look in my closet, I literally have 30 of them all grouped together in all different colors, cuts and fabrics and that’s for a very good reason–I’m a lazy dresser sometimes and a blazer is an easy way to look dressed when you’re really just wearing a white V-neck and jeans!

One of the only things I’ll miss about cooler temperatures is having to retire my little jackets, but stores like J.Crew and in this case, Forever 21 have wised up and they’re started to roll out light weight blazers that are just the thing for Spring!

This baby blue blazer is exactly the kind of jacket that will look good with everything–from skirts (how cute is the styling in this pic), white pants, jeans and even with shorts!  And for less than $25 it’s my Deal of the Week!

Deal of the Week: 1 Dress, 6 Options

by cheapchica11 on April 14, 2010

Picture 2A few times a year brands/designers (DKNY, Free People, etc.) come out with this “multiple” concept–a dress, shirt, sweater that you can style in various ways…and up until now, I’ve never been quite sold on the concept.

In the past, my problem with this type of style is that while it could be re-worked into several different configurations, I usually only liked one or two–but with this version, I’m actually liking most of the options and I’m loving the way it’s styled in this photo!! BEYOND cute!!

This dress from Victoria’s Secret can be worn six ways and it comes in eight colors so you’re sure to find one that suits your mood…and it’s currently on sale for $49 so that’s like paying $8/dress…sounds like a good deal to me!

PS: If you have a vacation coming up, this dress is the perfect thing to pack- it doesn’t wrinkle and it can go from day to night just by adding the right accessories!

by cheapchica11 on April 2, 2010

Picture 8I’m always on the lookout for easy, effortless pieces to wear on the weekend when I want to look cute but don’t really want to make the effort!

This has to be the perfect weekend dress for Spring…it comes in this beautiful peach color which will look so good with a tan or in white with lilac accents–either color works!

Through this weekend its 50% off at New York & Company (along with their ENTIRE inventory) so you can get it for less than $29!

And I might add that it goes perfectly with my new nude wedges (I’ll share those tomorrow) that I just bought!  Bring on Spring!

Deal of The Week: Flirty Forals

by cheapchica11 on March 5, 2010

Picture 2I’m not a fan of most floral prints…they bring back bad memories of the matching Laura Ashley bedspreads and window treatments I used to have in my room growing up!  But for Spring florals have gotten a serious makeover and this dress is the perfect example!!

I’m totally digging the retro-inspired silhouette, the peplum skirt and this print is right on trend…countless designers sent abstract, watercolor prints down their Spring 2010 runways.

Well now you can get a little bit of that runway action in your own closet for less than $25!! That’s right…it’s not a typo.  This adorable dress is only $24.80 so click fast because it’s a guaranteed sell-out!
